White River Inclusionary Preschool
The White River Inclusionary Preschool is an early childhood program blended with specialized approaches and related services as appropriate for children with special needs. Our preschool serves children ages three to five. The purpose is to provide a developmentally appropriate environment for children to develop their language, social-emotional, cognitive/pre-academic, and motor skills necessary for future school success. This is done through play and teacher-directed activities, which are strategically designed to facilitate the development in each area.
Our preschool program is based on the belief that children are unique, special individuals who learn through play and who grow in a developmental sequence. Children in our program are encouraged to:
- Gain a greater appreciation for human differences
- Grow in self-esteem and self-control
- Develop problem-solving skills
- Create friendships
Who Do We Serve?
- Kindergarten students from the Foothills, Mt. Meadow and Wilkson service areas
- Preschool and Transition to Kindergarten students from the entire district
